The first steel has now been erected at Unit 5030 at the West Midlands Interchange (WMI), marking a significant milestone in the delivery of one of the UK’s largest logistics developments.
Spanning 734 acres and set to provide approximately 8 million sq. ft. of prime logistics space, WMI will become a major hub for distribution and industrial activity, supporting economic growth and connectivity across the region.
The commencement of the steel frame for Unit 5030 represents the start of construction for the first building on site and an important step forward for the wider development.
Lysander has been appointed to provide Project Management, Cost Management and Employer’s Agent services for both Unit 5030 and the wider West Midlands Interchange scheme. Our team is proud to be supporting the successful delivery of this landmark project, working closely with stakeholders to ensure the development progresses efficiently and meets its ambitious objectives.
As construction continues, we look forward to sharing further updates as this transformative scheme takes shape.
